500 Days Of Summer (2009) – By Marc Webb. Marc Webb told an original, funny but most importantly thought provoking take on the romantic comedy genre.

I had tons of fun watching this film cut between the 1st few days of a strong emotional “love” between the leads and the later days where the relationship falls apart. What he says about people having too many misconceptions about relationships really makes sense when you look at it.

This scene where he says this quote is a scene I actually clapped to, as I saw this character breaking down and having his biggest realization, that there is too much pressure, convention and stigma towards a relationship, but no truthfulness and understanding.

Something I am learning a lot as well…..

Of course the film takes a more realistic ending of people falling back to their own programming… Something I feel we can come out of, if we choose to be true to ourselves and follow what out heart wants.
